This workshop is built for families who want real, practical urban wilderness and survival competence, not theory, not a lecture, but hands-on instruction you and your family can use in an emergency. Led by Byrd, expert outdoor and urban survivalist and forest school lead instructor, this 5-hour session covers the core skills every outdoor-minded family should know:     •    Fire — building and maintaining a fire in real conditions     •    Shelter — constructing shelter with what the land gives you     •    Navigation — finding your way without relying on a phone     •    Knot Tying —  practical knots that hold up when you need them to     •    Procuring Water — locating and preparing water safely in the field     •    Urban Survival — Grid down scenario best practices and Q&A session     •    And more — additional skills woven in throughout the day based on the group and conditions This workshop is designed for both kids and parents to learn side by side. Whether you're brand new to urban and outdoor skills or looking to sharpen what you already know, you'll leave with real capability, not just information.
